Districts 1 and 2 Gizella Abramson Teaching the Holocaust Workshop

April 25 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

NCDPI and the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust are hosting four regional workshops to provide districts with professional development that can be used in their school systems to support teachers as they teach about the Holocaust in middle and high school classrooms. We ask that each school system send 2-4 people to the workshop that is located in or near your educational district. Preferably, each district will send two curriculum leaders/instructional facilitators and two current classroom teachers to the workshop. Substitutes will be paid for those whose positions require them. Lunch will also be provided at each of the workshops. Please consider bringing teachers who are leaders in Holocaust education in your district and would be willing to help implement professional development in your school system about the Gizella Abramson Holocaust Education Act.

Each school system should fill out the registration just once with all members of their team on the registration form.

This workshop will be in Lenoir, NC, at the Gizella Gross Abramson Holocaust Resource Center.
