From 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, participants will learn about the many curriculum resources developed for the Gizella Abramson Holocaust Education Act, experience foundational lessons for teaching the Holocaust, and learn how to effectively present these lessons to students and adults. Each participant will also receive a copy of Salvaged Pages, a collection of young people's diaries from the Holocaust.

On October 22, 2026, Holocaust survivor Allan Hall will join us via Zoom to talk to students in classrooms about how he and his family survived the Holocaust in Poland from 9:30-10:30 AM. Teachers can register their classroom and a Zoom link will be sent two weeks before the event. Classrooms from outside NC are also welcome to join. We can have up to 500 teachers register for the Zoom. Born in Krakow, Poland, Allan J. Hall survived the Holocaust as a young child, enduring life in the Lviv Ghetto and years in hiding with his family, including under false identities and even inside a Nazi headquarters building. After immigrating to the United States, he built a successful career and later dedicated himself to Holocaust education, sharing his testimony and a message of education, perseverance, understanding, and human dignity. |
