Workshop Information

Basic information about the workshops

  • Workshops typically begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
  • Workshops typically conclude at 4:00 PM each day. Workshops usually conclude with a Holocaust survivor speaker or the child of a Holocaust survivor speaker.
  • You will receive a certificate of completion for renewal .6 renewal credits. You must attend the entire workshop and complete the online evaluation tool to receive renewal credits.

What to do before arriving at a workshop

  • Fully charge a laptop or tablet to bring with you to the workshop.
  • Print the essential handouts for the workshop (located on the Workshops & Webinars page).
  • If you have not already seen, it watch The Path to Nazi Genocide from the USHMM (see below for embedded video) so you have the needed background knowledge.
  • If you do not already know about the USHMM Guidelines for Teaching the Holocaust, watch the presentation from USHMM Museum Teacher Fellow Laurie Schaefer below.
  • We would love to have you join our Facebook group, Holocaust Educators of North Carolina to continue to network and learn about new information in the field of Holocaust education.
